A keen adventurer who recently visited the remote mountainous region of Dolpo, next to the border with China, Sam cares deeply about the development of Nepal's remote communities and the challenge of finding balance in this rapidly changing world.
29 Jan 2026: This was the theme of the BNS Conference recently held at the Nepali embassy in London. It was attended by over 50 stakeholders representing universities, colleges, UK govt ministries, the Nepali community in the UK, Nepali alumni of UK universities, UKCIAS, CNSUK, and present-day Nepali students themselves.
'Collaboration in support of those in need in Nepal'
23 Apr 2025: This was the theme of the 2025 BRANNGO Spring Conference, held at the Nepal Embasssy in London by kind permission of HE Mr Chandra Kumar Ghimire, Ambassador of Nepal to the UK.
A series of 3 free courses on the Open University's Open Learn site, developed in collaboration between the OU and the FCDO, covering Identification, Prevention, Reporting, Responding, Accountability and Learning elements of the Safeguarding cycle.
Online classes: Krishna Pradhan, a former lecturer at SOAS in London, is offering to run online, non-academic Nepali language classes for BRANNGO members. Classes of 4-5 people will have one 2-hour session a week, at a cost of £30 (£15 per hour); or a reduced rate of £22 (£11 per hour), if you only want speaking practice (ie without additional material, such as handouts and exercises)
