Move on 31 years and the opportunity finally to travel to my dream destinations presented itself to me. Whilst talking to friends, an English Nurse and her Nepalese husband serving in the Gurkha Signal Regiment stationed in our village of Colerne, Wiltshire, I listened intently to how they had just returned from visiting his family in their village. I mentioned that I had always wanted to go to Nepal and Tibet and so, as quick as you like, my life was about to change completely.
